Netter together – the DMS Crew: Mrs. 200%.

"On Yhprum’s Law and Murphy’s Law."
Everything that can work, will work – at least according to Yhprum’s Law. Katharina, COO at Digitale Mediensysteme, lives by this mindset, both professionally and privately. At home, though, Murphy’s Law tends to take over – especially with two important “men” in her life: her husband and her dog Murphy, who clearly runs the show. We call her Mrs. 200% – the heart, drive, and engine of DMS. Her energy is unmatched. In this interview, she shares how she recharges, what fuels her, and the challenge she’s still learning to tackle.
Mrs. 200%.
When we joke that COO could stand for “Champagne Organizing Officer,” Katharina just smiles and shows us the latest photos of Murphy (cute overload). “So, what do I actually do?” she says, taking a moment. Being COO, in her case, means being human first – as a dedicated professional, a loving wife, and a proud dog mom.
Everyone Has Their Quirks – I Just Have Most of Them.
“I make sure projects get done, operations run smoothly, and everyone’s busy and engaged,” Katharina explains. “I build internal processes, manage offers, negotiate with partners – I make sure the shop runs.” She also makes sure the team enjoys what they do, that the vibe is right, and that no one gets bored. Respecting people’s quirks matters to her – and she proudly owns her own. Yes, she can be direct. No, she doesn’t always win a popularity contest. But she keeps things honest and moving forward.
A Dyson for Every Floor.
Katharina admits she’s a bit of a “Monk.” Everything has its place – in the office, in the car, at home. “Empty boxes lying around? No way,” she says. “I even have a Dyson on every floor so I don’t have to carry it up and down!” Her husband takes it all in stride, thankfully. We’d say: smart man. She's structured to the core, but with enough humor to laugh at her own quirks.
Katharina and Boredom? Not a Match.
She’s been with DMS for eight years. Her career started in banking – first at the counter, then in marketing – which she calls a tough school. “But at least I used to go shopping instead of eating on my breaks – it kept me slim,” she laughs. From there, she moved into agencies and media, eventually becoming an executive assistant – a job she found too boring. And boredom simply doesn’t fit her.
Fueling Up Without Power Naps.
Katharina is a morning person, up by 5:30 AM, ready to tackle a full day. She sees TV as a waste of time. Her energy comes from nature – especially long walks in the woods. Friends, laughter, and the occasional party all refuel her better than any nap. When she does relax, it’s fully. No half measures – she’s 200%, always.
The Predator Within.
Her mindset is: why waste energy being angry over things you can’t change? Still, she admits she can be fierce – especially when it comes to fairness. If someone’s treated unfairly, she won’t stay quiet. She becomes the “bad cop” when needed and fiercely defends her team. Talk badly about them, and you’ll see another side of her.
Straight Talk – Always.
Katharina is all about honesty. No backstabbing, no games – she’s the “in-your-face” type. A self-described whirlwind, she checks in constantly: “How are you? Need anything?” People feel safe with her, and that trust opens doors. “Sometimes they tell me more than I need to know,” she laughs. She cares – it’s obvious. And not just about people.
At Home, Murphy’s Law Rules.
At work, it’s Yhprum’s Law. At home, Murphy’s Law – literally. Her dog Murphy runs the household. His name comes up more than the word “I” in our chat. His love is unconditional, and Katharina lights up when she talks about him. “He’s sensitive, wild, sweet, and alert – just like me, really,” she smiles. It’s clear they’re soulmates. Alongside her husband of over 10 years, Murphy is her rock.
What Even Is Boredom?
Murphy joins her on woodland walks, where she listens to birdsong and lets the world slow down. When we ask if she ever gets bored, she looks genuinely confused. Her days are full – always. If she’s not working or walking, she’s reorganizing the garden. Don’t expect to find her watching Netflix.
This Too Shall Pass.
Katharina lives in the now. “Motivation dips? For what?” she says. “Time’s too valuable.” Nothing lasts – neither the good nor the bad. She brings up a Persian proverb: This too shall pass. If she’s down, she either heads to the woods or surrounds herself with people. She chooses joy, always. “There’s no such thing as ‘can’t,’” she says. What happens, happens. How she reacts? That’s up to her. And if she explodes now and then – well, with that much energy, it has to go somewhere.
The Toughest Job for Mrs. 200%.
It’s not her role at DMS. It’s remembering to care for herself. Stillness stresses her out. Boredom even more. And her perfectionism – her “Monkism” – can be exhausting. “Live the way you want. Don’t care so much,” she says quietly. “As a teen, you laugh when people say time flies. But it does. And at some point, you realize: more life – now.” Letting go of unrealistic expectations is the one challenge she still faces. But if there’s one thing we’re sure of: she’ll take it on like she does everything else – fully, fearlessly, and extremely well.
