Oliver, who previously worked for Sony and Dell, among others, was involved in the joint venture between Sharp and NEC, which led to the result Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe GmbH in order to tender the full name of the company. Oliver, who acts in his position for the Austrian market, can identify with the company perfectly.

The company has a strong presence worldwide, which is an advantage for accounts such as Volkswagen due to the availability of a uniform shopping basket. The long product life cycles also show the sustainability standards of the solutions: Oliver talks about a case in which a device was uninstalled at Vienna Airport after a full 18 years — but not because it was broken or its functionality was limited. But simply because the design was no longer consistent. A compliment that underlines the high quality.

Heavy metal instead of plastic.

The fact that the products work longer is also due to the materials: Sharp NEC Display Solutions uses a high proportion of metal and less plastic. Plus: 97% recycled material in the display environment. The life of the device is extended by optimising the heat dissipation of the displays at high operating temperatures, while reducing CO2 emissions. This protects the environment and reduces operating costs. The focus is on features such as ambient light sensors and predetermined timers. LED walls consume up to 60% less electricity, which has a positive effect on the balance sheet. In addition, less heat is emitted, which means that air conditioning systems can be used less frequently. Sharp NEC Display Solutions pays attention to nature when packaging and uses only recycled cardboard and a minimum of plastic.
