Over 3,000 Downloads of the Free COVID Digital Service Package in Just One Year.

Vienna, March 17, 2021 — Since March 16, 2020, retailers have been repeatedly impacted by lockdowns and ongoing restrictions. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to challenge the retail sector — and proper hygiene practices, such as hand washing, have become more important than ever.

To support retailers during this time, help was made easily accessible via download. In cooperation with the Austrian Retail Association and the Trade Division of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ), Digitale Mediensysteme GmbH (DMS) acted quickly one year ago and launched a compact digital aid package at www.digitale-medien.at. This package includes free pictograms and animated content to promote hygiene measures in stores.

Thanks to the joint effort with the WKÖ, more than 3,000 downloads were achieved — a significant contribution to supporting safe retail operations during the pandemic.
