We Love Digital, We Live Digital: On the Digitalization of Work.

At DMS, we love digital – and we’re excited that the world of work is becoming increasingly digital too. It’s not just our work–love balance that’s benefiting – everyone can take advantage of digital transformation and the societal shifts that come with it.

The real question is: where is the journey headed – and who’s coming along?

Think of objects that order themselves, checkout-free stores, or shops without staff. What once seemed unimaginable has become normal – invisible automation that makes many things easier.

Can people be replaced by digital tools and trends?

The changes to our working lives are certainly a hot topic. How many jobs will disappear – and which ones? Will entirely new roles be created? Can or will a robot replace a human in the future? Questions like these raise concerns, and many employees look to the future with skepticism.

But one thing is clear: people can never be replaced by digital technology. What they can do is use their skills differently.

The digital shift creates space for new business models, fresh ideas, and innovative products. It opens the door to new opportunities – and new forms of success.

According to the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the impact and potential of digitalization can be summarized in three key points:

  • Digitalization makes it possible to structure production processes and workflows more flexibly and efficiently – leading to higher productivity.
  • It drives innovation in services – enabling modernization.
  • It allows new ideas and products to be realized – with strong innovation potential from the development and spread of digital technologies.

All of this brings real benefits – not just to our working lives, but to everyday life as well. As we said: work–love balance. We can use digitalization to do more of what we love.

So: let’s get digital!
