For Big Players: New Ideas Come Easy – At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
In the heart of the gambling capital, something entirely different played out once again – this time, it was the big players of the tech world coming together at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. For us, it was without a doubt one of the highlights of 2018.
From Smart Mattresses to Perfumer Tools.
From January 9 to 12, Las Vegas turned into the ultimate hot spot. On display: classic electronic devices like next-gen TVs, as well as smart mattresses and faucets, hypnosis glasses, and self-driving cars.
Our DMS Highlights: With the NotaNota machine, anyone can become a perfumer – a fascinating concept. Using an app, users can create their own scent combinations from 24 base fragrances and have them filled into miniature flacons. For $800, users also receive expert tips and can connect with a community to discuss perfume blends.
All of Las Vegas Becomes a Hub of Ideas.
The event wasn’t limited to convention centers and hotels – the entire city joined in. The future of transportation was showcased right on the streets, with self-driving cars cruising through Las Vegas. Google was impossible to miss, boldly taking on Alexa and its competitors with massive “Hey Google” signs across city rooftops.
Last but not least: Samsung unveiled its new super-smart TV, The Wall, at CES 2018. Following The Frame, this latest innovation features a frameless design and a massive 146-inch screen.
Our Conclusion: The industry’s biggest players once again backed the right ideas in 2018 and impressed us with their innovations. What a stroke of luck!
